Beta service
GiveNothing is currently in beta. This means we're still building and refining the platform. Features may change, and we appreciate your patience and feedback as we grow. By using GiveNothing during this period, you acknowledge that the service is a work in progress.
Contributions are pledges
During the beta period, no real money is being collected. The contribution amounts you set (e.g., £1, £2, £5 per month) represent pledges of your intended donation. When we launch payment processing, we'll notify you and ask for your confirmation before any money is charged.
Who can use GiveNothing
To create an account, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a resident of the United Kingdom
- Provide accurate information when signing up
- Use the service in good faith
Changes to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of GiveNothing at any time. We'll do our best to give you advance notice of significant changes, but sometimes we may need to act quickly. We won't be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
Charitable donations
When we begin processing payments, all charitable donations will go to registered UK charities selected through our community voting process. We commit to:
- Only partnering with charities registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, OSCR (Scotland), or CCNI (Northern Ireland)
- Transparently reporting how much is donated and to which charities
- Keeping administrative costs as low as possible
Charity actions
Once donations are made to charities, those organisations are responsible for how the funds are used. While we carefully vet the charities we partner with, we cannot control or guarantee their actions. GiveNothing is not liable for how recipient charities use donated funds.
Your responsibilities
When using GiveNothing, you agree not to:
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Abuse the referral system with fraudulent invitations
- Attempt to manipulate voting or game the system
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose
- Interfere with the platform's operation or security
Account termination
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour
- Provide false information
- Harm the GiveNothing community or platform
Limitation of liability
GiveNothing is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have donated through the platform.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on the platform. Continued use of GiveNothing after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
